Jake Delger

Jake Delger is a hunter, dog trainer, and content creator based in eastern Washington. He grew up big game hunting alongside his dad, where he developed a deep respect for the outdoors and the traditions that come with it. While upland birds weren’t part of his childhood, everything changed when he got his first German Shorthaired Pointer. Watching her natural drive and excitement to hunt quickly turned a curiosity into a full-blown obsession.

Now, Jake spends his falls roaming the rugged country of the West chasing wild birds with his dog Poppy, fueled by the bond between handler and dog and the thrill of each flush. Whether it’s chukar in the breaks or pheasants in the wheatfields, he’s all in on the upland lifestyle.

Outside the field, Jake runs Best Gun Dogs, helping others train and develop their own dogs, and On Point Media Co, a content and media company focused on outdoor brands, hunting, and the sporting lifestyle. Through video, photography, and honest storytelling, Jake shares the raw moments that make hunting with dogs so rewarding.

For him, it’s about more than just the shot. It’s about the journey, the connection with the dog, and passing on the tradition to others who are just getting started.
